Golondaaj is the clearest critic-backed starting point for a Dev–Anirban Bhattacharya watchlist in BMR’s current collection. Its 3.4 out of 5 from six collected reviews puts it ahead of DeSu7 and Raghu Dakat in this shared-film comparison. Arshinagar belongs in the filmography too, although BMR does not yet have a collected critic score for it.
This is a guide to the films in which the two actors both appear. It does not combine every film from their separate careers into a misleading “together” list. Their collaboration is also not always a two-man lead vehicle: their roles and the importance of their interaction differ from film to film.

Dev and Anirban’s movies together: the four-film watchlist
| Film | Year | Director | Why it belongs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arshinagar | 2015 | Aparna Sen | A shared ensemble credit; Anirban is credited as Monty. |
| Golondaaj | 2021 | Dhrubo Banerjee | Dev leads the football drama; Anirban plays Bhargav. |
| Raghu Dakat | 2025 | Dhrubo Banerjee | A period action film with Dev and Anirban on opposing sides. |
| DeSu7 | 2026 | Dev | The latest shared film, also starring Subhashree Ganguly. |
1. Golondaaj: start here for the strongest collected response

The historical football story gives Dev a lead role as Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari, while Anirban’s Bhargav adds another register to its period setting. The collected reviews show why the film is a reasonable entry point, but they also show a genuine split over the treatment.
Satarupa Basu’s Indian Express review is strongly positive, and Times of India’s Shamayita Chakraborty gives it 3.5 out of 5. Rahul Desai’s Film Companion review takes a much harsher view of the filmmaking. That disagreement matters: the broad appeal of the real-life subject and the film’s patriotic sweep will work better for some viewers than for others. Compare the original reviews rather than expecting one unanimous verdict.

2. DeSu7: a star reunion with a divided screenplay verdict

The current collection is mixed. Anirban’s stylised character and Dev–Subhashree’s reunion are recurrent points of interest, while reviewers disagree about whether the story successfully combines its action, romance and other narrative strands. For this pairing, it is useful to ask whether you want to watch the actors’ screen presence or a tightly constructed film; those expectations may produce different reactions.

3. Raghu Dakat: scale and star presence, with substantial reservations

Raghu Dakat’s collection is less enthusiastic than Golondaaj’s. The recurring contrast is between its ambition as a large period spectacle and doubts about the screenplay and dramatic momentum. Dev’s presence is a draw for supporters, but it does not make the reservations about the film disappear.
Poorna Banerjee’s Times of India review is more supportive than Dipankar Sarkar’s Upperstall assessment. CineKolkata’s Souvik Saha also separates Dev’s work from weaknesses in the writing. Together those reviews explain why this is better approached as a star-and-spectacle choice than as the leading critical recommendation for the pair.

Arshinagar: an important earlier ensemble credit

Aparna Sen’s Bengali reworking of Romeo and Juliet places rival families and a young romance inside a musical form. Dev leads opposite Rittika Sen; Anirban is part of the ensemble, credited as Monty. It is therefore a legitimate shared-film credit, but describing it as a Dev–Anirban double-lead film would overstate the pairing.
BMR does not yet have a collected critic score for Arshinagar. It is included here as a filmography and viewing-context entry, outside the numbered critic comparison. The official SVF and Hoichoi listings are useful for checking the film’s premise and credited leads, while BookMyShow records the broader cast.
Want their best individual work as well?
That is a separate watchlist. Tekka offers another route into Dev’s dramatic work, while Vinci Da has substantial BMR review coverage for Anirban. Neither is counted here as one of the four shared Dev–Anirban Bhattacharya films. Explore each actor’s full page to compare more genres, directors and source reviews.

This guide covers four shared feature credits through DeSu7: Arshinagar, Golondaaj, Raghu Dakat and DeSu7. The prominence of their roles varies.
What was Dev and Anirban’s first film together?
Arshinagar, released in 2015 and directed by Aparna Sen, is the earliest shared feature credit in this list.
Which shared film has the highest BMR critic score?
Golondaaj leads the eligible films in the 20 October 2026 snapshot. The linked badges and film pages show the current scores as reviews are added.

No. Dev leads opposite Rittika Sen; Anirban’s Monty is an ensemble role. It is a shared credit, not an equal two-man lead vehicle.
Are box-office earnings used in this critic ranking?
No. The critic comparison uses BMR’s source-linked review collection. Box-office performance is tracked separately and can be explored on each film’s collection page.
How this guide uses critic reviews
This is a guide to films the two actors appeared in together, with editorial viewing suggestions alongside BMR’s collected reviews. The review snapshot was checked on 20 October 2026. The linked score badges and film pages update as the review collection grows. A formal critic ranking needs at least five collected reviews: a one-review “early read” is useful evidence, but it is not a consensus. Published critic ratings and labelled BMR estimates remain distinct; audience and IMDb ratings are not mixed into the critic score.
