We convert each published critic rating to the same scale, out of 5, then take the average. Every critic counts the same. A score we estimate from a review that gave no rating is labelled BMR estimate and counts a little less. Each review keeps its author, publisher, date and link to the original.
A single scored review is labelled an early read. The full score needs at least 2 scored reviews. An unrated film is not given a guessed score.
When a critic gives no number, an AI interpretation may appear. It is labelled BMR estimate, carries less weight, and is not presented as the critic’s own published rating. You can always open the source and make your own judgement.
Critics and viewers have separate scores
Your own 1-to-5-star ratings stay separate from the critic score. Your profile and written reviews are private until you choose to share them. Audience scores use the site’s voting checks to reduce manipulation.
Box office: estimates, with a source
Collections are trade estimates, primarily from Sacnilk, and are shown in lakh and crore. India net, gross and worldwide figures are different measures. We label the measure and reporting period; missing numbers remain a dash with an explanation. Estimates can change as reports are revised.
Independent of sponsors
Sponsorship can buy an advertising placement. It cannot buy a higher score, a positive review or a place in a ranking. Sponsored placements are labelled.
