Films in this article
We searched published interviews and reports available on 20 October 2026. If a person is not listed with a film, we found no public statement and will not guess.
Suvendu Adhikari
As opposition leader he publicly praised The Kashmir Files after watching it with BJP MLAs, calling it a “cinematic masterpiece” and urging Bengali Hindus to watch it, reported by Deccan Herald. That is praise for a film, not a stated all time favourite.
Mamata Banerjee
We found no film she has named as a favourite. In response to that debate she remarked, without naming the film, that a film is a work of fiction and does not show the whole truth (Deccan Herald).
Prosenjit Chatterjee
He has repeatedly spoken about Shesh Pata (2023), telling Eastern Eye it is a film that “will be there for another 50 years” and telling Scroll it is “a very important film” for him as an actor. Others, such as Film Companion, name his performance in Moner Manush (2010) as among his finest; that is a critic’s view, not his pick.
Jeet
In August 2026 he told IANS he has no favourite genre. Director Pathikrit Basu picked Sathi as his favourite Jeet film in an interview; that is the director’s choice, not Jeet’s.
Dev, Samik Bhattacharya, Satarup Ghosh
We found no interview in which Dev names a favourite film, and nothing for Samik Bhattacharya or Satarup Ghosh. If you know a sourced statement, send us the link.
