People search for the DeSu7 budget every day. The honest answer is short: no official budget has been published. The makers have not announced a cost, and Sacnilk’s film page lists the budget as not available. This page sets out what is known, what is only talk, and how to judge a hit or a flop without a budget.
What is on record about the film
- DeSu7 released on 16 October 2026 for Durga Puja. It is Dev’s first film as director, and the seventh film pairing Dev and Subhashree Ganguly (The Daily Star).
- Dev is reported to star in it, direct it and have written the story, with Anirban Bhattacharya in the cast (T2 Online).
- Advance booking opened unusually early, which one report called the earliest public ticket sale for a Bengali film so far (T2 Online).
What is said about the budget
- Official: nothing. We found no statement from Dev, the producers or the distributor.
- Trackers: the Sacnilk film page shows the budget as not available.
- Rumour: one low-profile site said the budget “could exceed 8 to 10 crore”, crediting unnamed market analysts. We do not rely on it, because no source, document or named person stands behind the number.
We will add a figure here only when the makers or a named, credible report give one.
DeSu7 against Dhumketu, the previous Dev and Subhashree film

Hit or flop: why we have no verdict yet
A film is a hit when it earns clearly more than it cost, and a flop when it earns clearly less. That needs two numbers, the cost and the earnings, and only one of them is public. Sacnilk lists the overall verdict as not available, and we will not call it either way on a guess. What we can say is what the collection is doing: see the live table above and the DeSu7 day-wise box office page.
Two cautions about the figures: they are India net for the Bengali version estimated by Sacnilk, not worldwide gross, and producers often announce different totals.
